My Magical Mystery Tour
So it's been almost a week since this happened. I'm kind of a procrastinator sometimes, but I did need to make it known that I spent my Sunday afternoon last weekend with one of my most favorite people and her father. We went to this little bar called The City Club up in Ogden. I didn't know this place existed until Jordan mentioned it to me, and being the giant Beatles fan I am, I felt mighty ashamed to not know about this place. It did make me feel better to find out that one of my other favorite people, Angie, who is also a giant Beatles fan, didn't know about it either. Anywho, I thought I would document my experience with a few pictures of the decor. Their drink list is pretty much the best too with drinks name after their songs. And as if it were meant to be, the entire time we were there they played Paul's solo work. The gods knew I'd be there me thinks.

Awesome In Every Sense
The moment I saw this it made me grin like a lunatic. I can't explain how much I love this mash-up of two of my most favorite things. I love fan art!

Noun Time #1 - Oh The Places I'll Go...Or Want To...Edition 4
Happy Monday Everyone! Yeah I didn't believe my cheerfulness either.
This week I'll be taking us to Scotland:
I have to say that this country is mighty cool. One of my favorite bands (Travis) hails from Scotland, my favorite Doctor (David Tennant), and the source of my email address (Kintyre) are from this country as well. People always ask me the meaning behind my choice for my email. This is derived from a Paul McCartney song called Mull of Kintyre (look it up, it's a great song). Mull of Kintyre is a peninsula in Scotland where Paul owns land. Right after The Beatles broke up, Paul moved his little family to Scotland to get away from the public eye. Years later he wrote a really great album (London Town) with his band Wings, and this song was a huge hit.
Anyway now that you've had your music history lesson for the day, let's move on to the other reasons why I would love to visit this country. The green rolling hills, the gorgeous cliffs, and the castles are a start. I wouldn't mind doing a ghost hunt in some of those bad boys. It'd probably scare the shit out of me, but I'd have a story to tell. I also love to hear them talk. Some have really thick accents, and you're usually like WTF did he just say? But then there are others where you could let them talk all day long.
Oh how I wish I had buckets full of money....
And yes I kind of half-assed this post. It's Monday, sue me.

Noun Time #1 - Oh The Places I'll Go....Or Want To....Edition 1
So I've decided that Friday's will now be Noun Time Day. What does this mean you ask? It means I'm going to do a dedicated post once a week based loosely on a person, place or thing (noun get it?). I think this will be fun and help change things up a bit. So how this will work is Noun Time #1 will be Places, Noun Time #2 will be Things and Noun Time #3 will be People. And I will then have editions within those focusing on those particular nouns. Make sense? No? Eh. Just read on.
For this week's edition I would like to talk about one of the places I want to go to if I were rich and had all the time in the world. A girl can dream, it's allowed. I promise. I'll do one place at a time so that I can stretch this out and keep you wondering. As if!
England baby!!
There are several reasons why I want to visit England. And the #1 reason is The Beatles, but a close 2nd would be because of Friends. Ever since watching Joey step into his map, I've wanted to visit. I know that sounds weird, but it's true. I've found over the years many more reasons to visit England ranging from TV shows (Doctor Who) to the architecture (see picture above). The country has so much history and I want to soak it all in like a big fat sponge. The buildings are gorgeous, the homes are so cute, and the landscape is so green (coming from Utah you'll understand why this excites me)!
On more than one occasion I've day dreamt that I would live in England and adopt a posh British accent and come back and amaze my friends and family at how proper and sexy (yes I said it) I would sound. And one day this may very well happen. Well at least the living there part, I believe the accent part is a bit more difficult, but I could force it.
I want to go walk on the cross walk from the Abbey Road album, and go to Liverpool and visit the restored Cavern (where The Beatles played before they were famous). I want to go drink tea with the Queen (see in my head the Queen and I would be friends). I want to see a Rugby match, and drink beer at a pub. And most of all I want to try and make a British Guard smile in front of Buckingham Palace. I don't think any of this is out of question....well maybe making the guard smile, but everything else could easily be done!

Macca's New Wife
Knowing that I'm a major Beatles fan, I have been asked by a few people if I think Paul's new wife will turn out like his last. Honestly I haven't paid much attention to his new wife, and I'm thinking that's a good thing.
When he married "Gold-digging Bitch", I was upset because I could see right through her, and see that she was exactly that. And to make it worse, she got pregnant, which tied him to the bitch forever.

Gold-digging Bitch, and yes I tried to find the worst picture |
Well this new wife from what I can tell is older, more mature, a brunette (!!), and already self-sufficient on the monetary front. So do I think this marriage will turn out like the last? No, if anything all signs point to it turning out like his first marriage to the Lovely Linda. I really hope I'm right.
